About

Setting a new direction for myself  in writing memoirs, I’ll devote this space to storytelling.

I am among the Baby Boomers who turn 65 in 2011.  One of the floats in this year’s Tournament of Roses Parade featured a train, the Boomer Express, Engine Number 1946.  Major media can’t get over us.  Facebook says our demographic doesn’t matter.

I’m still a writer in training, in the midst of a 52-week course called Extreme Writing Makeover.  Practice, practice, practice, but now I have more tools.

Partly Dave was my identity as a  graduate student in Meteorological Engineering at Oklahoma University in 1969. Mostly Dave was another graduate student in the same program. Weather forecasting and analysis remains one of my serious passions.

See the links to my other blogs in the sidebar.  They all provide substance to my memoirs over the first decade of the 21st Century.
